Tools Recommended and Supplies Needed
Installing on Existing Chain Link Fence
Before beginning read all instructions carefully.
• Make sure your chain link fence can support the installation of bamboo fencing, if not, make the necessary adjustments and
reinforce the existing fence. Install a spacer at the bottom of the fence. This will help reduce ground contact, in turn preserve
the fence, and provide proper support when leveling.
• Unroll your bamboo along the chain link fence every 24” with the capped side up, and completely level.
• Attach one end with the galvanized wire at the top and the bottom, pull tight and attach panels to chain link fence and tighten
with the pliers.
• Attach the remaining portion of the bamboo panels with wires spaced approximately every 12” – 24”.
•If you need to add another roll of fencing, be sure not to overlap the two rolls by and avoid gaps. Sometimes installation
requires trimming a portion of the fence. Simply untie the wires at the end and remove the number of poles need to fit. Then
tie the wires, and twist the ends of the wires together.
Tip: To maintain the longevity and the beautiful look of your new bamboo fence, Sunset Bamboo recommends a sealer (urethane finish).
Not only will your new bamboo fence look great, it’ll maintain the color and strength for many years to come.
